Spring Creek Football Club

Spring Creek Football Club, founded in 1974 in Altoona, Iowa, was ready for a complete visual refresh. As both a local supporter and designer, I volunteered to help reimagine the club’s identity — from crest to kits — honoring its history while modernizing it for a new generation of players and fans.

Scope

Crtv Dir / Branding

A modern identity rooted in community and tradition.

The rebrand began with extensive research into the club’s history and local soccer culture. The goal was to create a system that felt professional yet accessible — something the players could wear proudly and supporters could easily rally behind. Several crest options were developed, exploring combinations of geometry, monograms, and circular emblems centered on the initials “SCFC 74.” The final direction focused on simplicity and adaptability — a mark that worked as well on a jersey as it did on merchandise or signage. The color palette of sky blue and black reflects both energy and heritage, pairing modern minimalism with classic football design language. Custom numerals, uniform striping, and alternate kit concepts completed the full identity system. The result is a flexible, future-ready brand that honors Spring Creek’s legacy while positioning it to grow in recognition and pride within the Iowa soccer community.
