David's Greatest Hits

When Park Church planned a summer sermon series through the Psalms, they wanted something that felt both familiar and unexpected—something that would reframe these ancient songs in a fresh, memorable way. Drawing inspiration from vintage record sleeves, I created a full visual system built around the idea: what if David released his own greatest hits album?

The Psalms, reimagined as a collection of timeless records.

David’s Greatest Hits was a 13-week sermon series through selected Psalms of David. Each week highlighted a different psalm, and each psalm received its own “album cover” — 13 unique visuals that together formed a cohesive set. The designs pull from the texture and warmth of 1960s and ’70s vinyl artwork, blending modern illustration techniques with the nostalgic aesthetic of classic record jackets. The series artwork was developed as a flexible identity system: Thirteen unique “album covers” for individual psalms Main series artwork inspired by retro LP design Slide templates for weekly teaching visuals Social and digital assets that carried the concept across platforms Each design used a consistent typographic and color framework, unified by a tactile, analog texture that gave the entire collection the look of a well-loved record set. Together, the visuals invited the church to experience David’s psalms the way listeners experience music—returning to them again and again for truth, beauty, and resonance. The result was a concept that felt fun, nostalgic, and reverent all at once—a visual soundtrack for one of Scripture’s most expressive books.
