Saylorville Church

Saylorville Church in Des Moines needed a brand identity that was more than a logo—it had to visually embody their vision, values, and the heartbeat of their community. The project wasn’t about creating a trendy mark, but about designing a visual language rooted in theology and lived out in the everyday life of the church.

Crtv Dir / Branding

A brand built on the story of Jesus—clear, unified, and always moving forward.

The new Saylorville identity tells a story with every line. At its center is the conviction that Jesus is the main story. The three unified marks in the logo represent the work of the Triune God—Father, Son, and Spirit—together in redemption. They also echo the Gospel itself: the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus, and His central role as the way, the truth, and the life The sharp peaks and valleys symbolize the highs and lows of life—the seasons of joy and struggle—yet all are unified in a downward posture of worship and surrender. The forward-leaning motion of the marks captures Saylorville’s commitment to mission, always moving outward, never stagnant. Unity, service, generosity, and obedience also find their place in the design. Distinct marks come together as one, mirroring the strength of community. The mirrored angles reflect God’s generosity flowing down and our response flowing back to Him. Even the simplicity of the marks points to Saylorville’s belief that small, daily acts of obedience build toward something far greater The resulting brand is more than a visual refresh. It’s a flexible identity system—logo, typography, colors, and applications—that communicates Saylorville’s DNA across signage, print, digital, and worship environments. Every element reinforces the same truth: this is a church centered on Christ, united in community, and propelled forward on mission.
