Not By Sight

How do you visualize faith in a way that goes beyond what’s seen? For the Not By Sight sermon series, I created a brand system that combined bold graphic design with interactive technology. The series explored Hebrews 11 and the call to live by faith, so the visuals needed to embody that tension between what is visible and what is unseen.

A message you don’t just see—you experience.

The creative direction for Not By Sight centered on the idea of looking beyond the obvious. Inspired by classic 3D anaglyph imagery, the artwork was designed with layered red and blue channels that appear disjointed at first glance. With 3D glasses—or through a custom-built phone app—the graphics resolve into clarity, echoing the biblical theme of walking by faith rather than sight. Alongside the poster and sermon slide designs, I developed a lightweight custom app that allowed people to hold their phone over the artwork and instantly view the anaglyph as a crisp, unified image. This interactive element made the series branding not just visual, but experiential—bridging traditional print design with digital engagement. If you visit the live project link use your phone to look at this page again and you'll see the art come to life! Deliverables included: • Series branding and sermon slide system • Anaglyph poster and graphics for print and digital • Custom mobile app enabling real-time viewing of the hidden 3D image • Promotional materials extending the concept into social and environmental graphics The result was a sermon series identity that didn’t stop at looking good—it invited the audience into a moment of discovery. By pairing unexpected design with custom tech, Not By Sight turned an abstract theological truth into something tangible, memorable, and shareable.
