24Things

24ThingsWhen you have worked in youth ministry for a number of years your mind get conditioned to it and you seem to filter everything else through it. For example, nearly every program, cool web site, story or whatever I find, one of my first thoughts is how can this be used for ministry.

So I decided to take that passion and put it to use. Yesterday I launched a new website called 24Things. The purpose of the site is to recommend downloads, web sites, shortcuts, stories, and other fun stuff that I find that could other youthworkers could use.

The site has two main goals. First, I want it to be a really cool resource that youthworkers can keep coming back to for quality content. Second I hope that it is profitable through advertising on the site.

I hope that through viral marketing and word of mouth the site will become popular – so spread the word. As an added incentive, the first 10 people who write about the site on another youthworker related site, forum, blog and email me the link of the page will receive a $5 gift certificate to Amazon.com.

Happy April 21st y’all!
